thanks
i was just marveling today at having a child who can finally eat without issue. she's had hot dogs, a cheeseburger, mac and cheese-things that are like a right of passage for american children's diets. (plus a bunch of other things that are a tad healthier.) :) i thought about how many times i begged God to heal her when she was in pain and just didn't want to eat at all. sometimes flat on my face and weeping.
i realized that i want to thank him fervently that she is well now. we asked the kids to pray with us for God to heal her many times. i thought i should include them in the thanksgiving.
so i came downstairs and said as much to smith. he said, "that must have taken Him a long time." very true. :) it cracked me up, and touched me, how he stated one of the hard facts of that time, all while totally accepting the reality. then he stopped, thanked God for healing her, and went off on his merry way to apply a temporary tattoo. :)
