I'd love to hear about all you're favorite reads (as an adult). Fiction, please. Though I love historical fiction, so if there was a non-fiction that was just a great story, I might be up for that. Thanks!
Some I've really enjoyed: The Help To kill a mockingbird The glass castle (not fiction but reads like it cuz the story is so unreal) The no. 1 ladies detective agency
I second "The Glass Castle" also - it totally took me out of my "norm", and helped me to see how everyone has a story, and sometimes their reality is so far from what mine was/is! I also love anything by Terri Blackstock - excitement, mystery, and usually with a surprise ending.
I loved "The sweetness at the bottom of the pie" by Alan Bradley. It was a mystery, but i also found it hilarious. The 2nd one in the series wasn't as good, because it was a little sad, but i'm definitely going to find more by this author. I also liked "Heavenly Man", which is nonfiction but a good story. Plus most anything by Francine Rivers. Mandy
thanks for taking time to give me ideas, everyone! i went to the library and picked up about 10 books-including several of these. hopefully one of them will strike my fancy. :)
