Hello

I really thought my blogging days were done, but I was inspired to reconnect with the world by a tiny, happy thing in my life.

These past 8 months without posting have been full. Sort of a lot of harder, draining things to manage-usually involving health.  I hate health stuff.  Kind of leaves me with no energy for much else.

So, amidst the health stuff that makes me feel like we are aging before out time, getting distinctly uglier in shorter periods than I thought should be allowable, etc., I'm excited to say that I found a new way to part my hair.  That sounds ridiculous and is extremely trivial, I know.  Maybe I'm a trivial person, but truly, if there is too much heaviness and not enough small, stupid little joys, I feel like my life is being sucked away.  So anyway, parting my hair about a 1/2 inch farther to the left-and barely having the part show has made me like my life a lot more (at least for the moment).  Yippee!

thanks, all.

you too! (Rebekah)

i'll try on the picture. I feel like iphones make me look so gross, or maybe that's just how I look, but it definitely doesn't make me want to post them. :) maybe I could actually whip out a real camera. :)

thanks for the prayers, sarah. I know you have your share of hard stuff to work through. which makes me wonder if you're still doing gaps.

glad you are back! and i hope you do post a picture.

your post encourages me not to give up on my hair.

with all you have going on, you probably haven't thought much about soap lately, but i went to a cute little soap place recently that made me think of you ( :

Mandy, I was thinking when you served lunch how pretty your hair was. So I'd say you have lots of hope. :) I made soap a couple months ago. Sort of amazed how quickly I can use it up when I use it for so many things, plus small gifts. I want to make a more creative bar soon. :) maybe you could come do it with me!

I could actually hear your voice as I was reading your blog! Of course I was smiling! And of course I am completely bitter that there is not a picture.
Yep, still on GAPS. We are at a place where we let Emitt do some experimental cheating and that's been so nice. He thinks it's the best when he gets to eat a random cookie or ice cream :) we really do love the diet now and are well adjusted. My attitude really stinks with the cooking part of it :)

Btw I hate iPhone pics of me. I'm with ya there :)
