Doing the unthinkable

So here I am starting a blog. Something I never thought I'd do. I honestly hope that no one I know ever discovers it.

It is very daunting to sit down to write; especially something that someone else may read. I feel like I'm supposed to wow everyone with my skill or humor or charm. I don't see myself as having an abundance of any of those things.

But at some point in my younger years, it became a dream of mine to write a book and to have it published. They say that if you want to be an author you've got to write, write, write. And so with that in mind, I'm sucking in my gut, throwing back my shoulders, and marching staunchly forward into the world of blogging.
