In the good 'ol summer time

i'll just start this post off apologizing that it's so ridiculously long. i guess that's what happens when i go so long without posting any pictures.

the first couple are from this past weekend at the lake. rach and jason had all the huber cousins who could make it to jason's parents' place. i got very few pictures, but it was a great time. it's sort of funny that i only got this picture of tami, outside of our kids, but it was too pretty not to post.

last week faye and i stopped and visited daish and creed while they were swimming and we were waiting for the other kids to get done with vbs.

two weekends ago we went to il for our traveling potluck. these picutres are all backwards, time wise. i decided to get a few pictures of each of the travelers, since this is how we spent a lot of time.

the driver:
feeding brother:
yea! a happy traveler!
and another all set to snuggle in:
this was at matt and rebekah's. little aria:
sunday morning
a sad little girl
rebekah and i planned to have our girls matching. :) it was fun because i have no one else to match my kids with (not even each other, usually.) i love how aria was leaning over to check faye out.

this next round of pictures is from smith's birthday party. chris took all the pictures for us (except this one that she's in), and did a great job, i might add. she's here for the summer, and it's great to have both of my sisters nearby.
the birthday boy

the couples who came and brought their families and made it a fun time.

avi decorated smith's cake for him. 'cars' is big with him right now.

these next pictures were taken while faye went around exploring our neighbors' yard. it's one of her favorite pasttimes.

kids wanting their pics taken at lunch:

early this summer we planned a last minute family night at the park. only a few families could make it, but it was fun.
we were babysitting two of our neighbor girls.

this is all for now, but there's more to come. i just downloaded a bunch more pictures from my other camera. :)

It was great to catch up on your summer. Sometimes I get lonesome for the days when my kids were that little. But alas, we take pleasure in each stage and find the joys in it.
