The First Day of School
Several weeks ago was the kids' first day of school. First was Avi in the morning. She has the same teacher as last year-her teacher moved up to third grade-so there was really no nervousness at all on her part.
Smith was later in the day. He is going to afternoon kindergarten, so while Faye naps I get some quiet time! He comes home happy every day, so even though he's not fond of quitting his play for school each day, he does seem to be enjoying it once he's there.

A good year so far!
