Avi

It seems our 'little' 9 year old is growing up so fast. I feel like I don't get as many posts up here about her, probably because she's at school most the day, then off to play with friends in the neighborhood whenever she can. But when it's too yucky to be outside, we get to be around her as she listens to Odysseys or plays Barbies, etc.
She's involved in an extra curricular choir this year that meets early mornings once a week. Here is a picture of a performance that her whole class did with choir. At the end of the performance, each child got to pick a family member to come dance with them. Avi was going to get Jaret, but Faye had been crying throughout most of the performance because she wanted to be down on the floor with Avi. We asked Avi if she'd take Faye up with her, and she graciously agreed. You can vaguely see them both up front.
We also attended one of her extra curricular choir performances at the beginning of December. My parents came out for the weekend, because the next day was also their church program. The choir performance was advertised to our whole city as a cozy outdoor Christmas event, but being that it was very cold and rainy, I don't think that anyone besides parents and grandparents showed up. It made for a very empty stadium. I started cracking up at one point. It was so miserable, and it just struck me funny how mom and dad came out to participate in an experience that turned out so much unlike the event was touted. :)
