Just Life

So, aside from all the other posts that tell about various activities this summer, we have gone to a week of VBS, went to a weekend family camp, took swimming lessons for a week, had all the hard flooring in our house replaced, and had our deck redone. This week some landscaping people are going to install a patio just off of our deck, and redo the landscaping around the whole house. After that, I think we are done with projects for awhile.

It has felt like a really busy summer. Good, though.

School starts in about a week, and I'm pretty ready. I think the kids are needing some normalcy in schedule, and something to focus on and accomplish each day. Smith got into afternoon kindergarten with a teacher that I think (hope) will be good for him. A friend from Sunday school is in his class. It always sets my mind at ease to know there's something familiar in a new situation.

Avi has the same teacher that she had last year, and most of the same kids in her class. Her teacher moved up a grade, and they 'loop' all the kids in the class up with her, if you are willing to. Avi did great with her, so I was thrilled to know she'd have another year with a teacher that's a good fit.
